I almost forgot how much I love traipsing around Seattle on sunny afternoons. The day consisted of Pike's Place, downtown, gourmet pizza in Belltown, going to the top of the Smith Tower, ice cream in Capitol Hill, bonfire on Alki Beach, & coming home exhausted on the 12:50 am ferry. Perfect summer day, if you ask moi.

I gotta say, today was a good day.

playing outside
the sun finally came out today! I laid in the sun all day, reading almost all of my new book, "I'm Down" by Mishna Wolfe and drinking an iced mocha, and chased my puppy around all day in my mom's garden. He gets so happy when we're all outside. As you can see, I played with my camera alot today. I just love all the colors of my front yard!

where's the sun?
The weather has been half summer, half fall lately so I haven't been able to dress in full summer wear like I'd hoped - so this outfit was kind of a compromise, but I liked it. It doesn't quite show up in the picture, but the tank top is a really beautiful light blue and its so soft! I mean, I don't think this ensemble is anything spectacular but it was comfy and I felt great in it. The tan purse is one of my favorite thrift store finds of late. Now if only the sun will stay out for more then 10 minutes at a time so I can live in sundresses like I want to!

school's out for summer!
sitting on my beautiful deck, sun's out, drinking an iced caramel latte (so happy to be reunited with my espresso machine), watching my puppy run around in my backyard, ready to put my new sundress on for a few graduation parties. life is so much better in the summer!
