waterfalls & snickerdoodles

Photos from a lovely afternoon with a wonderful friend, spent walking along the creek, taking photos, catching up, laughing, gossiping, and eating homemade snickerdoodles off of vintage plates. Fallon is a girl who appreciates simplicity, beauty, French things, a good thrifted find, good food, silliness, and friendship more than most people, which makes her the best of companions for a Fall afternoon! The photos I took of her were inspired by the Sartorialist's "All the Pretty Photographers" series, which I have been swooning over all week--have you guys looked at them? If not, do it now. They're gorgeous.
I have been trying to style this beautiful blue sweater for about two months now (it was only one dollar!) and finally figured something out yesterday. It is perfectly slouchy and comfortable, and I'll probably be living in it throughout this week's rain. Looking at the 10-day forecast makes me so grateful that I visited this gorgeous pathway twice last week, because who knows when I'll be able to walk it again. In the Pacific Northwest, you make the most of sunshine whenever it appears!

What is your favorite cookie recipe for a rainy day?

sweater, purse, and scarf: thrifted, boots: Kmart

Fantastic fall pictures and your outfit looks so cozy and comfy. Love your scarf and purse and the mix of patterns between them. A good ol' chocolate chip cookie gets my vote for a rainy day but any homemade cookie usually works for me!

I adore your scarf and boots! Goes great with that comfy sweater. Those cookies look delicious too! I don't have a favourite cookie recipe for a rainy day, but I love pairing cookies with tea on a gloomy day.

You know, you have such a great collection of scarves!
These photos are spectacular and both you lovely ladies look fantastic!
Mm snickerdoodles, or mmm to any sort of cookies for that matter. On a rainy day, classic chocolate chip cookies normally do the trick for me. xx
