As usual, summer flies by without asking permission. I'm trying to grab on to each day, squeeze a few extra hours of sunlight through, but as of yet my efforts have been unsuccessful. The time I do get has been filled with weddings, travel, family, flowers, donuts, pups, and a bonfire here and there...rough life. I have been a bit down about life lately, but putting this post together reminded me how lucky I really am--thanks, blog world. xo!

- bask in the sun at the lookout & watch paragliders hop off the cliff & into the sky, over & over

- talks about the future and dreams and California on the hike down

my life (job) has been quite busy lately so I am especially appreciating little quiet, simple times; stretching that enchanted time that is the morning as long as I can before heading to work and the real world. I'll say it over & over again: I'm yearning for spring!

I'm a little late, but here's my Valentine's Day recap via instas. How was your day? I went a little overboard on the pink this year...I can't help it. Holidays are my favorite thing.

This is what my holiday week has looked like: reading Harry Potter (for the first time) and falling in love like everyone said I would, merry-making with loved ones, baking all kinds of cookies with my mama and eating said cookies for breakfast every morning. Not to mention seeing old friends, celebrating my birthday, cuddling with my puppy, playing board games with my family & staying up 'til 2am watching Arrested Development with my brother. And accidentally sleeping until noon. Can this be forever?

Autumn Essentials

the softest, sweetest sweater from Forever 21 / new Fall shades: "miss fancy pants" & "spinning again" from Essie / darling shoes a dear friend thrifted for me / new reading material, a surprise from my sweet-toothed boyfriend

The calendar says October and though the summer's blue sky hasn't given way to the classic Seattle grey yet, the streets are lined with shockingly red leaves that will soon snuggle against the grass and I am now accepting Autumn. Summer was magical, but I'm ready for a new season in more ways than one. So, Fall, come on in, and bring with you sweaters and lovely colors and pretty shoes and pumpkin-flavored treats and  foggy mornings and cozy nights. I promise I'll love you right back. xo.
