it's the little things

It's amazing how happy I am to sit in a coffee shop alone and peruse blogs and people watch and think about nothing in particular. Right now I'm sitting in The Woods Coffee downtown and eating a chocolate cream cheese muffin (warmed up), and James Taylor is playing (which always reminds me of my mom) and springtime sun is streaming through the windows; and I feel so quietly content. I forgot my headphones, so I'm accidentally eavesdropping on the people around me - but it's alright, writers are allowed to do so. I have hours of schoolwork to do, so I've set up shop for a few hours here, but before I dive in I'm allowing myself about half an hour to look at fashion and beauty and silliness and charm on various blogs, and it feels fine. My mother's hands, from whom I acquired my love of coffee from.

This all sounds too perfect. I wish I was doing the same rather than being couped up in my room without the warm scents of coffee and people watching capabilities. <3
